King Catering was established in 2012 by Trinidad born Chef Deon King, after studying at George Brown College. Deon sought to bring a taste of the Caribbean to Toronto’s food scene. He initially focused on festivals, finding that these events allowed him to connect with his local community. In 2014 he started hosting Pop-Up Tasters in downtown Toronto; these innovative events allow his guests to taste new dishes while enjoying both music and drinks in a social setting. Recently named one of Toronto’s Top Catering Options by BlogTO, Deon’s catering business has seen success in both corporate and private catering. The company also offers personal chef services, bartending service, meal prepping, menu consultation, and more. King Catering caters an array of events, from weddings to business meetings and everything in between. In June 2015, King Catering was nominated by Now Toronto as Best Caterer in Toronto.
